Aquapole Grenoble ![]() Application : Sanitation The Aquapole wastewater treatment facility was built in early 1988 to solve the effluent treatment problem of the city of Grenoble, France. Aquapole treats wastewater from 48 towns, with a capacity of 500,000 population-equivalent. Designed to accommodate average flow of between 250,000 m3/day and 450,000 m3/day, it is operated by SDA (Société Dauphinoise d'Assainissement), a 50% subsidiary of the OTV Degrémont Group. The system installed by Cegelec Grenoble (Eybens) includes 21 RTUs connected over the dial-up phone network or a dedicated line to the PC500 master station, via a CS100 front-end processor. Remote management capabilities such as real-time alarm monitoring, daily reports on the various works flowrates, and reduced field maintenance are key to the successful operation of the plant.
